This is the least favorite of my Bosch Appliances. Actually, I only purchased this appliance because the dealer told me that Bosch did not make a microwave in the black stainless. I have since found out that this is not true. I do love the black stainless - so easy to keep clean. There are two signifcant design problems with the speed cook oven though. #1 - The bell to let you know that the cooking is finished is very low and hard to hear --even set on the high setting. #2 The door opens outward, rather than from the side. If you are short like myself, it is impossible for me to reach in to wipe clean the back inside. It is also difficult to retrieve the food.

the oven is lovely, but the micro design needs work! Lighting is beyond poor, the back wall very hard to clean, since you cant reach it, and overall a bit of a pain to operate. Not sure what the speed chef codes are, or do. manual is terrible

Nice looking unit. We used this microwave and speed oven for about 6 months before the speed oven failed to work. Had technician come out only to tell us it would cost too much to fix...almost as much as original cost. Very disappointing. Hopefully future products won't be this defective.
